Brooke Fingerpaints
So the daycare kids are all getting bigger and Carol has been updating her curriculum to grow with them. Today they gave finger painting a try, apparently Brooke was not too sure about having this "stuff" all over her hands. At least Carol got her to wear her smock.

Six more weeks of WINTER - Are you kidding me?
Well, that was the sad word from the Groundhog on Monday and yesterday we got snow -AGAIN. We've had a busy few weeks since the last post. We inaugurated a new president, the man Brooke refers to as Barack "you"bama instead of Obama, but hey she is close. She got to spend an afternoon with Mike, Kim, and Baby Ryan while I bowled in the CSC league and everyone lived to tell about it.
Brooke caught the stomach bug that seems to be making the rounds and stayed home from school last Thursday and Friday. Thankfully for me and the washer and dryer she has made a complete recovery.
This has been a busy week at school, they colored Groundhog pictures, see Brooke proudly displaying her's above, and baked Valentine cupcakes. Her new favorite thing to do is read the newspaper, she loves the Stop & Shop ad and the comics.

23 Week Appointment
This morning was my monthly check-up, heard the baby's heartbeat and started feeling movement these last few weeks. On Jan 9th the baby weighed a pound, really amazing all that you can see and tell when someone is still so tiny. Our regular Dr reviewed the report from the Level II Ultrasound and was also pleased with the results. We are on track to see the Dr again in 4 wks. Here's another picture from Jan 9th.

Our Newest Addition
As most of you know, we're expecting another baby around May 17th. Here's the latest ultrasound picture of the littlest Romanski. We aren't finding out if its a boy or a girl and the baby cooperated with us the day of the scan and layed in a position that made it impossible to tell. Such a good baby already ..........

Happy New Year

Well so much for our New Years resolution on updating this blog once every few days. We got so wrapped up in the holidays and then Paul's vacation and ALL this ice and snow we are getting, we never seem to get here. Brooke REALLY enjoyed Christmas and got more and more comfortable with the idea of Santa. He made a surprise visit to daycare the week before Christmas and Brooke actually sat on his lap and almost smiled.

Merry Christmas Santa
Paul and I thought this would be the year that we might have trouble with Brooke and Santa. She actually loves to talk about him and find him in books and ads, and even enjoys his presence ..... from a distance. We attended a Christmas Party on Saturday night and Santa made a visit with an early gift for each girl and boy. Brooke was happy to take her present from an arm's length away, but was NOT interested in sitting on his lap or standing any closer for a photo. OH WELL!! Thanks to Greg, Tina, and Gregory for a really fun time!

"Look at the pretty snow, its beautiful"
That's what Brooke said when we took her to the window this morning to see what had fallen after she headed off to bed. We were able to get her to wait to break out the sled until AFTER church. Brooke, Daddy, and Storm had lots of fun playing in the yard. Brooke repeatedly told Daddy "hurry, hurry, hurry" I guess he wasn't going quite fast enough with that sled!
